Best known for playing for the Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell’s path to stardom dates back to his college days as a Louisville Cardinals player. His Kentucky career is the focal point of Donovan’s latest adidas issue 3 DON, with an appropriate red and black color scheme.
In true Cardinal tradition, the textile upper is in a bold scarlet that’s paired with a black cushioned heel and ankle. An elastic strap runs along the laces and features “The Ville” text to further represent the city and the varsity basketball team. Even the black pull loop sees a graphic of the Cardinals’ mascot. The two-tone design is then completed with a degraded midsole featuring a speckled TPU patch to add a touch of neon to the proposition. To top it off, the signature number 45 “Spida” logo is applied to the tongue label for a DON-approved look.
