CORONAVIRUS

Germany has reported 45,690 new infections and 322 additional deaths.

BANQUE DEUTSCHE (DBKGn.DE), COMMERZBANK (CBKG.DE)

American financial investor Cerberus [RIC:RIC:CBS.UL], which has favored a merger of Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank in the past, ceded much of its holdings in Germany’s two main lenders on Monday, the selling bank said. Read more

HELLOFRESH (HFGG.DE)

The company has announced a share buyback program in the amount of 250 million euros.

VOLKSWAGEN (VOWG_p.DE)

Volkswagen expects inflation to slow later this year, but warned there would be no significant improvement in the global semiconductor shortage, CFO Arno Antlitz told Wall Street Journal in an interview. Read more

Volkswagen also said on Tuesday that it sold 70,625 of its ID electric vehicles in China last year, missing its target of selling 80,000 to 100,000 cars. Read more

The International Trade Commission is examining whether Adidas can continue to sell its “Primeknit” shoe model in the United States at the request of its rival Nike.

DAIMLER (DAIGn.DE)

The Daimler AG-backed carsharing market, Turo Inc, released its U.S. IPO dossier on Monday and disclosed its finances for the first time, revealing a 207% increase in revenues. Read more

Germany is providing around 130 million euros in alimony for financially troubled households to cope with a sharp increase in heating costs, according to a document from the Ministry of Construction consulted by Reuters. Read more

Australian lithium producer Vulcan Energy (VUL.AX) said on Tuesday it plans to jointly develop its central lithium plant with Frankfurt-based chemicals producer Nobian.
