BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies complete the home portion of their 2021 roster when they host the Vanderbilt Commodores on a Sunday morning at Ellis Field. The match time is 3 p.m.
Texas A&M and Vanderbilt are vying for a spot in the SEC standings with two games to go before the conference tournament. The Aggies are tied with Mississippi State and Florida for 10th place in the league standings with seven points. Vanderbilt is tied with Alabama and South Carolina for 6th place with 13 points. The top 10 teams last in the weeklong tournament in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Sunday is the A&M Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game. Two free tickets are available to all teachers and staff in advance and on match day. Additional tickets available for $ 3 each with promotional code “FACSTAFF” at 12thman.com/PromoCode. The Adidas Maroon A&M “Gig ‘Em” jerseys will be available for the first 350 fans.
It’s also Youth Sunday Funday at Ellis Field. The purchase of a full-price adult ticket allows free entry for up to four children with an in-person purchase on match day only. A pre-game kids’ area will be set up in the northwest corner of Ellis Field, featuring inflatables, face painting, ballooning animals and more.

The Aggies offense is led by the freshman class. Thirteen of A&M’s 29 goals (44.8%) were scored by their rookies. Maile Hayes leads the charge with seven goals, a record for the team. Nathalie Abel and Carissa Boeckmann added two each and Makhiya mcdonald and Mia Panté chipped one each.
Freshmen also contributed 20 of the team’s 33 assists (60.6%). Pante has eight assists, a team high. Abel and Hayes posted four each while Macy matula and McDonald’s recorded two each.
The Aggies have a 9-2-0 advantage in the all-time series against the Commodores. The streak started with the Maroon & White having won seven in a row, but the streak is even 2-2 in the last four games. Most recently, Vanderbilt outscored the Aggies 3-1 in last season’s SEC semi-finals. The last game at Ellis Field was in 2017 with the Aggies 2-1 victory. Vanderbilt scored two minutes into the second half, but Grace Piper equalized the game eight minutes later and Addie McCain scored the game-winning goal four minutes later.
